Goals for 2006 Wick Park: We would like to check into basic upkeep of pavilions lighting etc., lawn care and flower beds, any immediate needs or problems that need to be addressed. Also we want to check into grants and any other funding available to put in new playground equipment and restrooms, etc.
Coke Ovens: This we want to investigate further, get more info on, to see what besides basic upkeep needs done or what people in the community would like to see done.
Legion Field: Again, basic upkeep, check bleachers and fences for any repair that may be needed. Look at drainage system that was put in and see if since new dirt was added anything needs done to ensure it is properly draining. Working on getting a FLAG POLE installed at the field.
Extras: We would also like to research possible approaches for putting in a sports complex on the land that was purchased. Finally we will be discussing bringing back the Artisan's Festival and various fund-raising ideas for the parks.
