VILLAGE OF LEETONIA

DRINKING WATER WARNING

DO NOT CONSUME ANY WATER FOR ANY PURPOSE

Due to a break on the main line located on State Street between Hazel & Madison Streets, water will be turned off at approximately 9 AM.

People living in this area on Hazel, State, & Madison Streets should take the following precautions:

Do not consume any water from this water system for any purpose until further notice.

Bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and food preparation.

Alternatively, bring water to a boil, let it boil for at least one minute, and let it cool before using. Boiling kills bacteria and other organisms in the water.

Once water is restored, low pressure &/or discolored water may occur for several days after the hydrant is replaced.

What is being done?

We will complete this replacement as quickly as possible. After replacement, the water department will collect water samples. We will notify residents once the water results come back negative for bacteria and water consumption can resume without boiling. You will receive another notice when the boil order is lifted.
